)))Reverend((('s SHOGO Demo for Benchmarking
===============================

This demo recording was made after the Shogo 2.2 patch was
applied. Which means you NEED to have this patch as well.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
==============
The demo recording feature of Shogo is buggy and I'm not sure if
this will be fixed in a later patch or not. So, please ensure the
following conditions are adhered:

1) First of all, set your game's "Detail Level" to "High". You can do
this in-game under the "Options/Display" menu. Do not touch any
of the settings under "Advanced Setting" after you've changed the
"Detail Level" to "High".

This is a must. Apparently, the demo playback must be on the same
detail level settings as it was recorded. Otherwise, the demo will not
run as intended.

2) DO NOT type timedemo instead of playdemo as instructed below.
The game will instant freeze and needs a reset.Probably a  game bug.

3) DO NOT  repeat the playdemo within the same game session.
Weird things happen. Again,probably a game bug.

4) DO NOT touch your mouse or press any keys in the keyboard after
you have typed "playdemo RevShogo" in (3) below. Again, the demo
will not run its intended course and length. Weird !!

Instructions:
========

1) Included with this readme is a file called "RevShogo". This is the
demo itself. Move this "RevShogo" file to your Shogo game directory.

2) Launch the game normally.

3) At the main menu, pull down the console (press the "~" key) and
type the following:

   playdemo RevShogo

again, keeping in mind not to move the mouse or press any keyboard
keys after typing the above.

4) The demo will roll in a short while.

5) The demo ends with me looking down the tunnel path after
having killed all the baddies. At that point the console will
automatically come down. Look for these stats (they should
be the last lines in the console) :

Demo played in xxxx secs
5994 frames drawn, average yyyy fps

where yyyy is your frame-rate.
*MAKE SURE* the frames drawn is 5994.

My Celeron448+128MB+Voodoo3 3000AGP  managed :
1280x1024 : 23.436 fps
1024x768   : 27.365 fps
