Greased with lovin beta 4.0 Help file ¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿? ------------------------ What is "greased with lovin?"------------------------- Well greased with lovin was origonaly meant to jsut fix things in shogo after monolith had abandoned it. However, I saw the prospect for so much more and pushed for more. This read-me file should further explain that which is greased with lovin. ------------------------ GreasedSrv?------------------------------------------- This is the dedicated server file with this you can start your own greased server over the net! make sure to copy this file to your bas shogo dir before you use it. Note on changing gravity setttings: The gravity changes on level load so you cannot change the gravity while the current level is still running. Go to the next level and the gravity change will then be put into effect. ------------------------ Beta?------------------------------------------------- This is the beta, which means that this is not the finished release. It has several bugs many of which we are fully aware of. However, I felt the shogo community deserved to get a look at the wonderful progress this mod has made. So here we are, the greased beta. ------------------------ ok... but What does this mod add?--------------------- ^ Mechs! The Multiplayer MCA levels will find themselves populated with an assortment mech player modes. ^ Better AI! I have gone through and modified the hell out of the ai. It is more fearless then ever before. ^ Colors! 21 new colors the origonal shogo only had eight colors. I felt this mod should give the players more options. ^ Skin support! Tired of looking like everyone else? Change the texture! Shogo+skins=woot! ^ Adjustable gravity That is right you can adjust the gravitational force! ^ limited thrusters! That is right boosters that can lift the mecha high above the ground.. be careful though the force is strong enough to damamge the mech if you are careless. ^ homing missiles! The bullgut missiles are capable of homing in on targets! ^ new effects! some areas allow for burn marks to be left by the weapons and I though it would be nice to change the effect for an exploding mechs so the mech explosion is a bit nicer now. Many more effects also await you. ^ Alternate effects set! Monolith origonaly intended to have a second set off effects toggled by a code(mpanime). while everything has not been completed yet, many of the weapon effects have an alternate effect when you type in mpanime! ^ Cosmetic fixes! Small things like missing fullbrights and mis-rotated models have been corrected. Some weapon models have been replaced with their first person versions to add more detail. -------------------------How do I use the boosters?---------------------------- Type "addaction boost 23" in your console. Go to to the options menu set the key and play with it from there. -------------------------How do I use the skins?------------------------------- These skin files are available for download with the greased skins zipfile. To use them, when you add greased.rez also add greasedskins.rez and boom you have the skins. Well you must first bring down the console by pressing the '~' key. Type the command "changeskin" followed by the skin you want. Keep in mind I will not be taking on beginners here, I need someone who knows what they are doing. There are too many things to be done aside from teaching someone dedit. This may sound harsh but I have wasted time on too many people only to get no return on my time. If your art skills are at best mediocre do not waste my time. I will help some though, as there are new items, textures and texture flags in greased.
