------------------- TITLE: Star Destroyers AUTHOR: Chris Hedberg EMAIL: config_guy@planetshogo.com DATE COMPLETED: 11/30/99 ------------------- Build info: Build Time: 2 months, about 2 hours/day Compile Info: ---------------------- Done in 260.84 minutes Number of input polies: 680 Number of input vertices: 947 Number of output polies: 2580 Number of output vertices: 3720 Tree depth: 87 Memory for vis lists: 187516 Number of (unseen) polies removed: 201 Number of leaves: 972 Number of visible leaves: 0 Number of light map nodes: 121872 Number of objects: 275 ---------------------- Highest known poly count: ~650 drawn, but ~1000 processed. Not sure how that processed number will balance out for slower machines, and don't have one to test it on. :( Suspect anything P200 or better will be okay, though. Bugs: NONE! HAHAHAHA! Okay, enough fantasy. You can kinda see how I got the planets into the skybox if you look closely, and the level is TOTALLY unbalanced if you use tractor beams. Other than that, hasta el fun. Comments/bug reports welcome. ------------------- Play info: Started this 3 weeks before Star Wars: Episode 1 was a'brewin', with the hope of finishing by the time it released. Boy, did I miss my date. Had it almost finished when I got hired on by Monolith! This puppy sat on the sidelines for about two months, due to a couple lingering issues with play balance and the !@$#ing 28-hour compile time on full vis! FastApproxArea ents are your friends, kids! It's a psycho-fun duelling arena, a pretty cool 3-4 player level and gets seriously nuts around 5 players and above. Lots of falling to your death and being chased off the bow trying to get the Shredder. ------------------- Thanks: To the entire Monolith crew, without whom this level would definitely not have happened. To Craig, Jeremy and Scott Pultz, without whom this level wouldn't have happened nearly as quickly. To the great folks at PlanetShogo, especially the poor bastards who suffered thru my prerelease version and warned me about ry0t h00rs. :) And lastly, to the dozens of folks across about three web forums and mailing lists who help encourage me and give me mappin' advice. My Akuma is dead but it WON'T LIE DOWN! ------------------- Rights: SHOGO-M.A.D. and all associated goodies belong to Monolith Software. The idea for this level belongs exclusively to me. If you wish to redistribute this level in any form other than the .ZIP file it came in or through distribution channel involving cash changing hands, you must contact me first and obtain my express permission. If you don't, I'll have Nathan Hendrickson (who I know personally) give you a twirling wedgie and put pictures of it on Planetshogo. You don't want that. Trust me.
